BIG Fixers

Fixers is getting bigger, bolder and broader.

We’re spreading to the whole of the United Kingdom [England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland] ... and we’ll be recruiting 21,000 new Fixers over the next four years. We’re also planning to start a national movement of Fixers, which will include all ages.

It’s all thanks to a major new grant from the Big Lottery Fund [which gives out money from the National Lottery]. They’re backing Fixers to the tune of £7.2m, so that we can support more young people [16-25] to campaign on issues that matter to them, and make a positive difference to others.

You can read all about the grant, and the reasons for it, by clicking on the press release on the links to the right.

For the past four years, Fixers has worked with more than 5,500 young people. Their campaigns have made a difference on issues as personal and diverse as; homelessness, drink and drug misuse, prejudice and domestic abuse.

You can see a short film about Fixers through the links to the right, where you’ll also find more about Fixers the organisation, meet some Fixers [the people], read some comments and find out about our awards.
